Teams in the Big Bash League 2019/20
The below image shows all the teams in the BBL 2019/20.
Eight Teams Participating in the BBL 2019/20 are:
- Hobart Hurricanes
- Melbourne Renegades
- Sydney Sixers
- Melbourne Stars
- Brisbane Heat
- Sydney Thunder
- Adelaide Strikers
- Perth Scorchers
Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Sixers, and Melbourne Stars were the top four teams toqualify for the last year’s BBL semi-finals. Perth Scorchers was at the bottom of the points table.
Melbourne Renegades were the last year’s Big Bash League Champions. They had beaten Melbourne Stars in the final at Docklands, Melbourne by 13 runs.
New Changes in BBL 2019/2020
- Unlimited Super Overs if Super Overs are tied.
- Play-off match structure: Now even the 5th placed team will be considered for the play-off stage.
- The playoff matches this year have got special names. They are called The Eliminator, The Qualifier, The Knock-Out, The Challenger and The Final.
Overseas Players in BBL 2019/20
Tom Curran, Jos Butler, Harry Gurney, Jofra Archer, and James Vince from England; Qais Ahmad, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Zahir Khan from Afghanistan; and Chris Morris, AB de Villiers, and Dale Steyn from South Africa are the overseas players signed up by various BBL teams so far for the ninth season of the tournament. Few more players are expected to be signed up by teams in the coming weeks.
